Joe Bartholomew is a painter, programmer, and digital artist working in Portland, Oregon. He received his BFA from the University of Texas. He has worked as a graphic artist, web developer, and software engineer with IBM. He presented his first solo exhibit in 2009 at Chambers @ 916 gallery, and a second, Girih Extended, 2011, in collaboration with the glass artist Ryan Tanner. A glass work from that collaboration was included in the Bullseye Glass seventh international kiln-glass exhibition, Emerge 2012. Girih Extended traveled to Provincetown, Maine, for an exhibit at the Todd James Gallery in 2012. Six Degrees of Freedom was included in the group show, Connecting... at Chambers @ 916, November, 2012. Joe has also collaborated with a Portland installation artist, providing programming for exhibits in 2010 and 2012.
