The digital images are printed on an HP Designjet 90 with HP Vivera Ink, and HP Premium Plus Photo Satin paper. These inkjet prints resist fading for 82 years. Wilhelm Imaging Research, Inc. has concluded that prints made with HP No. 85 ink cartridges and HP Premium Plus Photo papers may be displayed indoors under glass for 82 years before noticeable fading and staining occur (see http://www.wilhelm-research.com for details).
Each digital image is drawn in an Adobe Flash interactive movie, developed with Actionscript. Some drawings exist in the original vector-based digital form only as long as the web page running the Flash script is open in a browser. After a suitable inkjet print is made, a bitmap image may be saved.
The prints are generally 19 X 13 or 24 X 18 inches.
For my exhibit in June-July, 2009, at Chambers @ 916, large format prints were made with an Epson Stylus Pro 9900 on Illford Smooth Pearl paper.
