About the Permutation Triangles Project
The Permutation Triangles are digital drawings plotting triangular images within a grid. This project, one in a series of Grid projects, evolved from my Permutation Grids and Coprimes projects.

Plane Symmetry Prints

These drawings relate to plane symmetry or wallpaper groups, but they differ in some ways that disqualify them from the mathematical form. Like plane symmetry groups, they start with a two-dimensional pattern. There are translations, rotations, and reflections. The drawings differ from the mathematical form in that I use several unit patterns which are randomly selected. The patterns are isosceles triangles arranged radially in tracks around a center point, forming a polar grid with triangular cells.
